“Da Michele” restaurant is situated in Massa Lubrense harbor, near the ancient fishing village. It boast a three generation experience in preserving traditional Campania cuisine. Opened in 1950 by Enrichetta and Michele Gargiulo with the collaboration of their four children, offered homemade cooking with the tastes of the sea and the land. Their grandchildren Michele and Enrica, that learned from them, continue the family tradition. Guests can enjoy meals on a spacious terrace, overlooking the gulf of Naples, and the splendid islands of Ischia and Procida; as well they can be accomodated in a small but comfortable inside room. Fine italian wines such as Antinori, Feudi di San Gregorio, Marisa Cuomo, Villa Matilde, Casa D’Ambra and Villa Sandi are preserved in the wine cellar. The restaurant has a parking place and is open from March to November. Closed on tuesdays during the low season. Guests can be seated in three different environments. An inside room which seats about 50, or two terraces with a sea view seating about 130. Besides welcoming our daily guests we can also organize special ceremonies such as baptisms, first communions and birthday parties. Our set menu consists of typical dishes of our local cuisine where the tastes of our land like the olive oil and the tomato marry themselves with the shellfish and fish caught in the local bays. Besides the set menu we have a daily menu with fresh pastas and a daily specialty. Pizza cooked in our firewood oven is always on the evening menu. And finally our sweets pleasantly close every meal.
